Job Description

Hydranautics is a part of the Nitto Group of companies and one of the global leaders in the field of integrated membrane solutions. We offer complete membrane solutions like reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration for water, waste water and process treatment and applications. Hydranautics membrane-based solutions are currently in use on seven continents throughout the world for diverse applications such as seawater desalination, industrial high-purity water, surface water treatment, waste water treatment and specialty process applications.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under strategic level guidance, manage and implement domestic and international marketing strategies for product line growth for the organization. Understand market segmentation to target product lines and position organization with market-share. Develop market plans including market assessment, competitor evaluation, product requirement specifications, pricing, placement and promotion. Manage product life-cycle from product development to obsolescence. Participate in trade shows including developing promotional materials and advertising.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops product revenue and item level demand forecasts by market share (pharmaceuticals, dairy, water treatment, etc.), geography (US, Canada, Europe, Middle East, etc.), media (catalog, web, poster, etc.), and audience segments to support sales and inventory functions with Profit & Loss as well as strategic accountability. Acts as organizations' representative and advocate cross-functionally, liaising with internal/external partners to secure accurate product attributes; for example, product features, pricing, inventory position, including developing business cases for new products. Drives product-line decisions including product changes, resources priorities, obsolescence, etc. Analyzes and understands market segmentation, applications, customer needs, competition, market trends and dynamics to support strategies targeting new opportunities and overcome threats. Develops, interprets and manages product line reporting and analysis, including establishing Demand Curves, key product metrics and other benchmarks. Creates messages and content for marketing materials including advertisement, product literature, case studies, tradeshows, web site, press releases, newsletters, etc. Facilitates trade show events, seminars, sales meetings and related administrative activities. Partners with global marketing team, external vendors such as graphic artists and publication vendors to develop written graphic material, advertisements and multi-media packages in accordance to Nitto's brand image standards. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or Sciences or related field; and 7 years' experience in the water or membrane industry with knowledge of water treatment technologies, membrane separations or process separation; OR, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Sciences; and, Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with 5 years' experience product marketing; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Understand the technical water-industry market strategy. Working knowledge of business marketing principles in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and facilitating of people and resources. Strong ability to communicate sales and technical concepts clearly, concisely and in simple terms to diverse internal groups of employees and customers. Ability to write clear processes, manuals and reports for management review and present technical information in understandable terms. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite software applications. Working knowledge of CRM sales tool such as Salesforce.com. Travel for extended periods and work with a flexible schedule.
