Marketing and Media Manager From Billboard to Broadcast, Where Marketing Makes Its Mark - $75,000/year
Location:
Flowood, MS | Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM| In-Person Every billboard, radio spot, and retailer promotion you see from the Mississippi Lottery is more than just an ad, it's how we show up for the state. As Marketing and Media Manager, you'll manage our media buying across billboard, radio, TV, print, and digital, keep vendor relationships and budgets on track, and work closely with our Marketing and Communications teams on everything from retailer promotions to press releases. This role would be a great fit for someone who thrives on juggling multiple deadlines at once, pays close attention to the details in a contract or an invoice, and is just as comfortable writing a press release as they are pulling a media performance report.
What You'll Do:
Manage media buys and vendor contracts across billboard, radio, TV, print, and digital, tracking terms, renewal dates, and deliverables. Verify spots, placements, and proof-of-performance reports, resolving any issues directly with vendors. Track media budgets and spend by campaign, manage the purchase order and invoice process, and prepare monthly accrual summaries. Coordinate creative deadlines and media scheduling with our social and content calendar to keep paid and organic messaging aligned. Review media analytics and performance reports to guide future media strategy. Coordinate co-op and retailer advertising opportunities, point-of-sale materials, and signage requests. Oversee the Marketing and Communications project tracker and maintain the monthly marketing and communications calendar. Support retailer promotions and events, including occasional evenings and weekends. Compile and distribute the daily morning radio report. Great Fit If You:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). 3+ years in marketing, media buying, or advertising, including vendor contract and budget management. Experience preparing budget reports, processing invoices, and tracking expenditures. Experience drafting press releases or similar public-facing content; writing samples may be requested. Familiarity with social media platforms, content scheduling, and basic design tools for signage or marketing materials. Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple timelines and deliverables at once. Strong writing skills and comfort managing multiple deadlines at once. Ability to work independently and represent MLC in a public-facing capacity, including occasional evening or weekend events.
