Job Description

Position Summary Ross Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Director of Admissions and Marketing to lead admissions, referral development, marketing, and community outreach. The Director will manage the admissions process from referral through arrival, build relationships with healthcare and community referral sources, and work with the Administrator and department leaders to support occupancy and a positive resident and family experience. Responsibilities Admissions Manage inquiries and referrals from initial contact through admission. Receive and review referrals, coordinate timely clinical and financial reviews, and aim to respond to each referral within 15 minutes whenever possible . Work with the appropriate staff to confirm payer information, insurance benefits, and required authorizations. Communicate with prospective residents, families, hospitals, discharge planners, and other referral sources throughout the process. Schedule and conduct tours. Coordinate admission agreements and required documentation. Enter and maintain accurate admissions information in SigmaCare and other applicable systems. Work with nursing, rehabilitation, social work, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to prepare for each admission. Confirm that the resident's room is clean, furnished, and ready before arrival, and help provide a welcoming admission experience. Track referrals, follow up on pending cases, and document reasons referrals do not result in admission. Marketing and referral development Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, physicians, social workers, and community organizations. Conduct regular outreach visits and identify opportunities to develop new referral relationships. Promote Ross Center's short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and specialized services. Plan and participate in community events, networking opportunities, tours, and educational programs. Develop marketing materials and outreach activities in coordination with the Administrator. Share appropriate facility news and success stories for marketing use, subject to required privacy and consent procedures. Census and reporting Monitor referrals, admissions, conversion rates, lost referrals, occupancy, and payer mix. Identify trends and recommend steps to improve referral response and admission conversion. Provide regular admissions and marketing updates to the Administrator. Participate in leadership meetings and work with department heads to address barriers to admission and resident satisfaction. Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable facility policies and federal and state requirements. Qualifications At least two years of experience in healthcare admissions, marketing, business development, or a related field; skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and healthcare admissions workflows. Experience with SigmaCare preferred. Ability to build relationships with referral sources and communicate effectively with residents and families. Strong organization, follow-through, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic record systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local outreach.
Pay:
From $80,000.00 per year
