Job Description

Canvass Manager Guildcraft Exteriors Eugene, OR Job Details Full-time $100,000 - $150,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Paid time off On-the-job training Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Flexible schedule Referral program Qualifications Marketing management Team development Territory management Door-to-door Teaching Full Job Description Field Marketing Manager Guildcraft Exteriors - Eugene, Oregon High-Income Leadership Opportunity | Commission + Percentage of Office Revenue The Opportunity Guildcraft Exteriors is looking for a driven Field Marketing Manager to build, lead, and grow our door-to-door marketing department. This is a production leadership position. Your job is to recruit talented people, train them to become effective canvassers, establish clear performance standards, and drive consistent appointment and sales production from the team. We are looking for someone who understands that great field marketing departments don't happen by accident. They are built through recruiting, training, accountability, coaching, culture, and consistent execution. The right person will have significant influence over the growth of our Eugene operation and will be compensated accordingly. In addition to commissions generated through your own production, you will have the opportunity to earn a percentage of office revenue, allowing your income to grow as the team and office grow.

The goal is simple:

Build a team that produces. Develop people who win. Help grow the office. Get paid when it grows. What You'll Be Responsible ForRecruiting & Building the Team Recruit and develop new canvassers Maintain a consistent pipeline of potential candidates Participate in interviews and candidate selection Identify individuals with the personality, work ethic, and competitiveness necessary to succeed in door-to-door marketing Help new representatives successfully transition from training into field production Build the canvassing department as company lead volume and territory expand Develop future team leads and managers from within the department Training & Development Lead new-hire canvassing training Teach and reinforce the company's script and appointment-setting process Conduct role-playing and objection-handling exercises Work directly with new representatives in the field Coach representatives on introductions, homeowner engagement, qualifying prospects, and setting appointments Identify weaknesses in individual representatives and create plans for improvement Provide ongoing training rather than relying solely on initial onboarding Performance Management You will be responsible for driving the results of the canvassing department.

That includes:

Establishing clear daily and weekly production expectations Tracking doors knocked, conversations, appointments, demonstrations, sales, and other key performance indicators Monitoring individual and team conversion rates Identifying underperformance quickly and addressing it Recognizing and developing top performers Creating accountability around activity and results Helping representatives set and achieve production goals Maintaining consistent appointment volume for the sales team This is not a position where success is measured by simply having people on the roster. Success is measured by building a team that consistently generates qualified opportunities and produces revenue. Field Leadership Although your primary responsibility is managing and developing the team, this is not a desk-only management position. A strong manager should be willing and able to: Get into the field with representatives Demonstrate the canvassing process Knock doors alongside new hires when necessary Diagnose performance problems firsthand Lead by example Understand what is happening in the neighborhoods rather than managing exclusively from reports You should be capable of producing personally and teaching others how to produce. Territory & Operations Help organize canvassing territories Coordinate team deployment into targeted neighborhoods Monitor territory performance Help determine where teams should be working based on results Communicate appointment volume and field activity with sales and company leadership Help improve the systems, processes, and reporting necessary to scale the department Maintain professional and ethical homeowner interactions throughout the team Who We're Looking For We're less concerned with impressive job titles and more interested in leadership, production history, recruiting ability, and results. You may be an excellent fit if you: Have meaningful door-to-door sales or canvassing experience Have previously led, trained, or developed canvassers or salespeople Understand how to recruit and retain performance-driven people Know how to create accountability without destroying team morale Are comfortable having difficult performance conversations Can recognize why a representative is struggling and coach them toward improvement Are competitive and motivated by measurable results Are organized and comfortable managing KPIs Can build a strong, positive, competitive team culture Are comfortable working independently without constant supervision Are willing to get into the field when leadership requires it Want to build a department rather than simply manage an existing one Leadership experience in roofing, solar, pest control, home improvement, alarms, telecommunications, fundraising, or another door-to-door industry is especially valuable. Compensation This position is designed to reward both individual production and leadership performance.

Compensation includes:

Commission on personal production Percentage of qualifying office revenue Additional performance-based earning opportunities as the department grows Advancement opportunities tied to successful team and market development Unlike a traditional management position where compensation remains relatively fixed regardless of company performance, this structure gives the Canvassing Manager the opportunity to participate financially in the revenue they help create. Build a stronger team. Generate more qualified opportunities. Help the sales organization close more business. As office revenue grows, your earning opportunity grows with it. Exceptional performance can create substantial income potential. What Success Looks Like A successful Canvassing Manager will build a department where: Recruiting happens consistently New representatives are trained effectively Expectations are clear Performance is measured Underperformance is addressed Strong performers are recognized and developed Appointment volume is predictable Sales opportunities increase Revenue grows Future leaders emerge from within the team Ultimately, we want someone who can look at the department and say: "I recruited this team. I trained them. I developed the leaders. I know the numbers, and I know how to make this department produce." Growth Opportunity Guildcraft Exteriors is building for growth, and this position has the opportunity to grow with the company. A successful Canvassing Manager may have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the organization expands, including larger teams, additional territories, leadership development, and broader field-marketing responsibility. We're looking for someone who wants to build something they can be proud of and financially participate in the results they create. If you have proven door-to-door experience, know how to develop people, and believe you can build a high-performing canvassing organization, we'd like to talk with you.
