Marketing Manager Better Built Machines (Shelbyville, KY) | Full-Time | On-Site | Sales & Marketing Better Built Machines (BBM) is a fast-growing U.S. manufacturer of high-end CNC machinery built with American pride, innovation, and unmatched craftsmanship. We are searching for a dynamic, detail-driven Marketing Manager to take full ownership of our brand identity, creative standards, sales collateral, and multi-channel marketing campaigns as we scale our market presence nationwide. Position Overview The Marketing Manager serves as the chief custodian of BBM's brand identity and the primary growth engine for qualified inbound demand. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining standardized brand guidelines by governing color palettes, typography, iconography, and visual style across all digital and print mediums. In addition to driving lead generation and trade show execution, this person will design and produce polished, consistent company assets, including machine spec sheets, customer-facing PDF brochures, proposal templates, presentation decks, and technical literature. The ideal candidate blends high-level visual design and layout skills with industrial B2B marketing acumen, ensuring every customer touchpoint reflects the premium quality of our machines. This position focuses on brand stewardship, graphic design and document standardization, technical product marketing, and multi-channel lead generation.
Key Responsibilities Brand Stewardship & Graphic Standards Brand Guidelines & Asset Governance:
Establish, maintain, and enforce comprehensive BBM Brand Style Guides (primary/secondary color palettes, typography hierarchies, logo usage, clear space, and visual tone).
Document & Template Standardization:
Design and manage standardized templates for all external and internal company documents (PDF product catalogs, machine specification cut sheets, customer quote/proposal templates, slide decks, and corporate letterheads).
Visual Asset Management:
Maintain an organized digital asset management (DAM) system for high-resolution machine photography, CAD render graphics, vector logos, and video footage.
Content Creation & Collateral Production Technical Literature & Sales Enablement:
Collaborate with Engineering and Sales to translate complex machinery specs into clean, beautifully formatted customer brochures, one-pagers, and comparative spec charts.
Digital & Social Media Presence:
Manage and elevate BBM's website, digital advertisements, email newsletters, and active social channels (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram), ensuring strict visual consistency.
Trade Show & Event Assets:
Design large-format graphics, booth backdrops, banners, print handouts, and promotional merchandise for national industry expos.
Lead Generation & Campaign Execution Inbound Demand Generation:
Launch and optimize multi-channel inbound campaigns (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, SEO, and email nurture sequences) targeting key decision-makers.
Pipeline Analytics & Tracking:
Monitor website traffic, document downloads, campaign conversions, and ROI within CRM/analytics tools to optimize marketing investments. Required Qualifications 3+ years of B2B marketing and graphic design experience, ideally within manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, or capital machinery. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro) for creating publication-ready vector graphics, page layouts, and interactive PDFs. Demonstrated experience creating and enforcing comprehensive Brand Style Guides and document design systems across both print and digital assets. Strong background in digital marketing, CRM lead tracking, marketing automation, and CMS management (e.g., WordPress). Exceptional eye for typography, layout hierarchy, grid systems, and technical document formatting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field. Direct experience marketing within stone fabrication machinery, CNC automation, or heavy equipment manufacturing.
