Job Description

Mission:
Woodwell Climate Research Center (Woodwell Climate) conducts science for solutions at the nexus of climate, people, and nature. We partner with leaders and communities for just meaningful impact to address the climate crisis. Woodwell Climate is a rapidly growing, top-ranked, independent non-profit climate research institute whose mission is to advance science-based climate policies through scientific research and outreach. Our world-leading research helps individuals, organizations, corporations, communities, and nations understand the realities of climate change, recognize the impact on our planet, and embrace the urgent action needed to safeguard the future of life on Earth.
Intern Summary:
The Woodwell Climate Research Center 2027 Summer Internship Program provides a comprehensive 11-week, hands-on learning experience in Falmouth, MA, offering speaker events with senior leadership and professional networking opportunities across operations and science departments.
Key Program Details Compensation:
Minimum wage $15.00 per hour (temporary, non-exempt) or equivelant
Work Schedule:
Full-time (typically 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday).
Duration:
11 weeks (maximum 90 days), starting June 2027.
Work Formats:
Onsite, hybrid, and remote options available.
Participating Departments Operations Teams:
Human Resources, Finance (Accounting, Sponsored Research, Grants & Contracts), Development (Fundraising), Policy and Government Relations, and Marketing & Communications.
Science & Research Teams:
