Job Description

Community Outreach & Referral Marketing Specialist This is a great opportunity for someone who is ambitious, energetic, competitive, and excited to grow professionally . You don't need years of healthcare marketing experience—we care more about personality, work ethic, confidence, and the ability to build relationships. This is not a desk job. You'll be out in the community every day meeting new people, developing relationships, representing Phoenix, and turning those relationships into referral partnerships. What You'll Do Spend your day in the field meeting healthcare professionals, community organizations, and potential referral partners. Make approximately 7-10 in-person outreach visits per day . Find and develop new referral opportunities throughout your territory. Walk into new offices, introduce yourself and confidently start conversations. Build genuine relationships with therapists, doctors, hospitals, crisis centers, treatment providers, EAPs, community organizations, and other professionals. Follow up consistently and turn new connections into long-term referral relationships. Maintain and grow relationships with existing referral partners. Educate referral sources about Phoenix Behavioral Health and the clients we can help. Work closely with our admissions team to make the referral process fast and easy. Plan your weekly outreach schedule and prioritize the relationships with the greatest potential. Track visits, follow-ups, referrals, and next steps. Meet weekly activity goals and contribute directly to the growth of Phoenix. Represent Phoenix at networking events and community opportunities. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Is high-energy, motivated, and goal-oriented . Loves talking to people and naturally builds relationships. Is confident enough to walk into an office where they don't know anyone and start a conversation. Is hungry to learn, improve, and grow. Takes initiative instead of waiting to be told what to do. Is competitive and enjoys working toward measurable goals. Handles rejection well and keeps going. Is organized and follows up consistently. Communicates professionally while still being personable and relatable. Wants a position where strong performance can lead to increased responsibility and opportunity. Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Healthcare or behavioral health experience is a plus, but not required. We're willing to train the right person who has the personality, drive, and work ethic we're looking for. What Success Looks Like This role is about more than checking off visits. We want someone who learns their territory, figures out where the best opportunities are, builds strong relationships, and turns those relationships into consistent referrals . The strongest person in this role will be someone who takes ownership of their territory, enjoys seeing their numbers improve, and is always looking for the next relationship or opportunity. Why Phoenix? Phoenix Behavioral Health is a growing behavioral health organization providing mental health and substance use treatment in New Jersey.
