Through the November 3, 2026 electionPosition SummaryGround Game Texas is hiring a part-time Brownsville Field Lead to help manage our local field operation for the November election.
The Field Lead will supervise and support a small team of part-time Field Organizers responsible for knocking doors throughout Brownsville. This is a hands-on position for someone who is dependable, highly organized, comfortable leading people, and able to keep a fast-moving field program on track.
The Field Lead will be responsible for training canvassers, managing campaign materials and supplies, knocking doors themselves and communicating results to Ground Game Texas Staff.
ResponsibilitiesTrain and onboard new Field Organizers before they begin canvassingLead pre-shift trainings, check-ins, and canvass launchesMaintain campaign literature, clipboards, signs, shirts, chargers, and other field suppliesKeep an accurate inventory of materials and communicate supply needsPrepare and distribute canvassing turf and materialsEnsure Field Organizers understand the approved canvassing script and data-entry proceduresHold canvassers accountable to an expected pace of approximately 20 doors per hourTroubleshoot staffing, and field issuesSubmit regular field reports to Ground Game TexasCommunicate no-shows, performance concerns, supply needs, and other issues promptlyHelp coordinate paid canvassing with volunteer block walks and campaign eventsCanvass alongside the team when necessaryPerform other campaign-related duties as assignedQualificationsLives in or near Brownsville, TexasReliable transportationDependable and able to consistently arrive on timeStrong organizational and communication skillsComfortable training, directing, and holding a small team accountableComfortable using smartphones, mobile apps, and basic digital toolsAble to work independently and solve problems in the fieldAvailable evenings and weekendsAble to safely store campaign literature and field materialsPrevious canvassing, organizing, supervisory, retail management, hospitality, team-lead, or community-engagement experience is preferred but not required.
