Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Product Line Manager - Airframes role provides in-depth market competitive analysis, technical support, and market pricing strategies to meet revenue and profitability goals for the organization, while assisting the sales organization in the sale of airframe material owned by the company. The role is accountable for supporting product-line P&L performance for assigned airframe material by managing pricing guidance, inventory turns, repair and replenishment priorities, acquisition recommendations, and sales support activities that drive revenue, margin, ROI/IRR, and profitability. The role is actively involved in reviewing, valuing, and procuring aircraft, surplus packages, and strategic demand material, including valuation and technical assessments that support acquisition decisions in collaboration with leadership and other required contributors. The position also requires ownership of fair market value guidance, min/max stock level recommendations, and inventory readiness so material is available in the right place, in the right condition, and at the right value to support customer demand. The role requires close liaison with the Director of Airframe Product Lines, VPs of Sales across different regions, global Account Managers, and departments that manage supplier relationships. It also requires a strong understanding of the commercial aircraft parts aftermarket, availability, demand, inventory turns, and values.
Primary Responsibilities:
Asset acquisition, valuation input, and investment strategy: 30% Assist in evaluating whole assets, surplus packages, individual components, and demand material for acquisition, including valuation and technical assessment with leadership and other required contributors. Determine strategies to maximize revenue, profitability, ROI/IRR, and redeployment of investment into newer assets. Provide fair market value guidance and acquisition recommendations in collaboration with leadership and other required contributors, supporting informed investment decisions without serving as the sole valuation authority. Maintain current pricing structures and market-based pricing guidance for managed airframe material, using demand, sales activity, competitive availability, and inventory turns to support revenue and profitability goals. Support the sales organization with pricing recommendations, material positioning, and customer response strategies based on market conditions, inventory availability, and commercial priorities. Stock repair, replenishment planning, and material readiness: 25% Own stock repair and replenishment recommendations for managed airframe material, including min/max stock level reviews and decisions to repair, replenish, hold, or deprioritize material based on demand, condition, turns, and inventory position. Manage disassembly priorities, drop shipments, repair station selection, and repair coordination to improve cost, turnaround time, certification status, and material availability. Coordinate with Repairs, Technical, Purchasing, Sales, suppliers, and repair stations to ensure material is available in the right place, in the right condition, and at appropriate stock levels to support customer demand. Reporting, forecasting, and executive review support: 15% Assist the Director of Product Lines with valuation packages, forecast data, inventory performance reporting, and recommendations for Commercial Review Board and CFO/CEO approval. Report monthly on sales performance, inventory turns, stock position, profitability, and forecasted demand for acquired material to support leadership decisions and strategic purchasing activity.
Stakeholder coordination and additional responsibilities:
5% Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, purchasing, technical teams, suppliers, repair stations, customers, and executive stakeholders. Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, training, compliance support, industry conferences, customer visits, supplier meetings, and other cross-functional needs as directed by management. Qualified Experience and Training:
Education:
Required High School Diploma/GED and four (4) additional years of relevant experience (business administration, aviation management, or a related field); or Bachelor's degree
Experience:
Required 5+ years of experience in aviation material management, asset acquisition, sales support, and strategic purchasing within the aviation aftermarket industry. Preferred Experience evaluating aircraft and surplus packages, managing disassembly projects, and supporting global sales teams with airframe inventory strategies.

Travel Required:
Up to 10% Domestic and International.

Authorized to work in the US, Able to work in US without current or future need for visa sponsorship.

Qualified Skills:
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Required Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft parts aftermarket, material valuation, and asset management. Experience negotiating pricing, contracts, Letters of Intent (LOIs), and Sales & Purchase Agreements (SPAs). Ability to analyze market trends, inventory demand, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability. Proven ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to assist and develop knowledge within a team environment aiding the Technical, Repairs & Strategic Purchasing departments. Strong relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Preferred Knowledge of aircraft teardown processes, repair station management, and inventory lifecycle optimization. Experience developing strategic purchasing plans and mentoring cross-functional teams.
Organizational information:
The Product Line Manager - Airframes reports to the Director of Airframe Product Lines and works closely with VPs of Sales, global Account Managers, Technical, Repairs, Strategic Purchasing, suppliers, customers, and executive stakeholders. The position does not directly manage employees but supports and develops cross-functional strategic buyer activity and provides guidance to internal teams involved in airframe material strategy, valuation, purchasing, repair coordination, and sales support.
Communication Skills:
Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, purchasing, technical, and executive teams. Ability to negotiate with suppliers and customers while maintaining positive business relationships. Ability to communicate effectively with global customers and suppliers.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to analyze inventory, pricing, sales, and market data to support business decisions. Experience in maintaining accurate records and reports related to asset acquisitions and sales performance .

Nature of Contacts:
Frequent internal and external contact is required with the Director of Airframe Product Lines, VPs of Sales, global Account Managers, Technical, Repairs, Strategic Purchasing, executive stakeholders, suppliers, repair stations, and customers. Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
