$[80,000 - $100,000] per year, plus bonus eligibility About ATG Electronics ATG Electronics is a California-based LED lighting manufacturer dedicated to engineering lighting excellence. We design and deliver high-performance, energy-efficient indoor and outdoor LED luminaires and retrofit solutions for commercial and industrial customers nationwide. Position Summary The Product Manager owns the strategy, roadmap, and commercial performance of an assigned portfolio of LED lighting products. This role guides products from concept through launch and end-of-life, translating market needs, regulatory drivers, and competitive intelligence into technically sound, commercially successful products. The Product Manager works cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, and supply chain to accelerate sales growth, product vitality, and margin improvement. Key Responsibilities Own the product roadmap for assigned categories of indoor and outdoor LED luminaires and retrofit products; maintain portfolio plans, product data, and lifecycle status in company systems. Lead new product development (NPD) projects from concept to market, ensuring launches are on time, within budget, and meet performance, cost, and certification targets. Conduct market research to identify customer pain points, emerging technology trends, and regulatory and utility-rebate drivers (DLC, ENERGY STAR, Title 24, UL/ETL) that create product opportunities. Benchmark competitor product lines and pricing (e.g., RAB Lighting, MaxLite, Cooper Lighting Solutions, Acuity Brands/Lithonia) and develop strategic pricing for the portfolio. Define product requirements and specifications with engineering; work with factories and supply chain on cost, quality, and delivery. Partner with lighting controls partners and internal teams to ensure seamless integration of fixtures, sensors, and networked control systems. Drive product line
P&L:
monitor sales, margin, and vitality metrics; recommend rationalization and end-of-life actions. Support sales with product training, launch plans, spec sheets, sell sheets, and competitive positioning; join key customer and rep calls as the product expert. Manage product certifications and listings (UL/ETL, DLC
QPL, ENERGY STAR
) and ensure ongoing compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field. 3+ years of product management, product marketing, engineering, or sales experience in a technical or commercial field; LED lighting or electrical products industry experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of LED technology, photometrics, and lighting certifications (DLC, ENERGY
STAR, UL/ETL
); familiarity with lighting controls a plus. Proven track record of delivering new products that meet market and financial goals. Strong analytical, pricing, and project management skills; effective communicator across engineering and commercial teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/PIM systems a plus. Ability to travel up to 20% (customer visits, trade shows, factory visits). Preferred Lighting Certified (LC) credential or NCQLP eligibility.
