We deliver high-quality, innovative products engineered for the most demanding applications. We're looking for a Product Manager with direct product management experience at a manufacturer that supplies engineered electrical/power products into the data center market. Our equipment serves data center applications, so we need someone who already understands this market, its customers, and its unique demands. This role requires more than industrial or power sector experience—it calls for someone who has managed products on the manufacturing or supplier side, not simply worked in or supported a data center environment. The Product Manager for Switches and Meters is a senior, strategic role that bridges engineering execution with executive-level business strategy. Reporting directly to the Vice President, this position owns the full product lifecycle—from new product development proposals through international market expansion and acquired product integration. You'll provide technical and commercial leadership across assigned product lines, ensuring technical excellence, competitive positioning, and long-term market success. Using data-driven decision-making, deep technical expertise, and rigorous market analysis, you'll help shape our global product roadmap and growth strategy.
Define and maintain the multi-year technical and commercial vision for assigned product portfolios, aligning product strategy with company objectives and market demand.
Market & Trend Analysis :
Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities across utility and industrial power, energy infrastructure, data centers, EV charging, medium voltage generators, transportation power infrastructure, and power-intensive manufacturing environments.
M&A Product Integration :
Lead the technical and operational integration of acquired products, ensuring alignment with existing portfolios, systems, and go-to-market strategies.
Data-Driven Decision Making :
Leverage ERP, CRM, and sales data to analyze product performance, geographic opportunities, sales channel effectiveness, and new market entry potential.
Pricing & Profitability Analysis :
Develop and maintain pricing models, including elasticity analysis, to optimize margins across diverse markets and competitive landscapes.
Technical Communication & Thought Leadership :
Author technical briefs and white papers, develop internal product specifications, and secure endorsements from customers and industry partners.
Field Leadership & Travel :
Travel approximately 25% of the time to meet with customers and sales representatives, and to assess sales processes and market opportunities firsthand.
Competitive Intelligence :
Build comprehensive benchmarking and competitive analysis reports to evaluate product performance, features, and positioning against competitors.
Global Market Expansion :
Identify and define strategies for entering new international markets and sales channels to support sustainable global growth. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Technical bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; MBA or other advanced degree preferred. Strong technical background in electromechanical components, meters, and products used in energy distribution and generation. Advanced proficiency with ERP and CRM systems and large-scale data analysis, including reporting and database querying; experience with Infor Syteline (Infor CloudSuite Industrial) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage pricing models, market segmentation, market-share forecasting, and growth modeling. Exceptional written communication skills, with a track record of producing high-level white papers and technical documentation that translate complex engineering concepts into clear business value. Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. Work Environment Combination of manufacturing and office environments. This is not a work-from-home position. Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and odors.
