  • running industrial furnaces and applying advanced engineering and material science to solve problems in harsh environments.
We're riding the wave of U.S. manufacturing revitalization, building jobs for skilled workers, and strengthening the defense industrial base. Americarb supplies carbon materials for missile defense systems and energy storage technologies and was awarded a $13M Department of War contract to modernize facilities and expand production capacity for solid rocket motors. Position Summary The Product Line Manager serves as the commercial and technical point of contact for Americarb's vacuum furnace product line
  • entering and tracking purchase orders through the manufacturing process, working closely with the Manufacturing Engineer on product design, and partnering with supply chain to oversee inventory.
You'll support customers who operate industrial furnaces, helping design and deliver carbon/carbon and graphite components for their operations. We're looking for 5+ years of technical or industrial sales experience, ideally with advanced materials or engineered components. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between customers, sales, and manufacturing for vacuum furnace product line orders. Enter and track purchase orders through the full manufacturing process, from order intake to delivery. Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineer to design carbon/carbon fixtures, tooling, and furnace components that meet customer requirements. Partner with the supply chain team to oversee inventory levels and ensure materials are available to meet production timelines. Manage relationships with house accounts and support new business development for vacuum furnace customers. Understand customer technical requirements and align Americarb's capabilities and production schedule to meet them. Collaborate with operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Track and report on pipeline, order status, and market trends. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field preferred. 5+ years in technical or industrial sales, ideally with carbon composites, graphite, or engineered materials. Strong technical background with an understanding of composite materials and furnace operations Proven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. Experience with purchase order management, inventory tracking, or supply chain coordination is a plus. Proficiency with CRM/ERP systems, Microsoft 365, and virtual meeting platforms. Knowledge of furnaces and furnace operations is a plus.
