Retail, Administrative & Social Media Assistant The Healing Portal - 5.0 Ventura, CA Job Details Part-time $17 - $20 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Retail, Administrative & Social Media Assistant The Healing Portal | Ventura, California Part-Time | In-Person The Healing Portal is looking for a responsible, dependable, energetic, and creative person to work regular retail and front desk shifts while also assisting with social media content, administrative tasks, and research projects. This is a varied, hands-on position for someone who enjoys helping customers, creating content, solving problems, and getting things done. Responsibilities include front desk and retail work, photography and video, Canva design, social media posting, live sales, YouTube support, online research, and general administrative projects. We need someone who is organized, resourceful, works at a productive pace, and follows assignments through to completion without constant supervision. Responsibilities Retail and Front Desk Work scheduled retail and front desk shifts independently after training Greet customers and create a welcoming environment Check clients in for appointments, classes, and events Operate the point-of-sale system and process purchases Assist customers with products Learn basic information about our crystals, jewelry, services, classes, and other products Restock products and maintain displays Open or close the shop when trained and scheduled Social Media and Content Photograph crystals, jewelry, products, practitioners, classes, and events Create Reels, short-form videos, Stories, and other social media content Create and post Instagram and Facebook Stories Design graphics, flyers, promotions, and social posts in Canva Help maintain a consistent content schedule Film and assist with live product sales Help develop The Healing Portal's YouTube presence Film educational videos, interviews, classes, and demonstrations Edit photos and videos Organize photo, video, and design files Help promote workshops, practitioners, services, events, and products Track basic engagement and identify which content is working Administrative and Research Support Complete online research projects and summarize findings clearly Assist with data entry, lists, documents, scheduling, and general administrative tasks Organize digital files and project information Take projects from initial instructions through completion Pitch in with practical tasks as needs arise Skills Canva Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar Microsoft Word and Excel Windows computer environment Social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube WhatsApp Accurate and efficient keyboarding Internet research Basic photo and video editing Digital file organization Follow up on assigned tasks without repeated reminders What We're Looking For Responsible, dependable, and trustworthy Comfortable learning new systems and solving problems Strong internet research skills Able to understand instructions or asks questions and carry a project through to completion Organized and able to balance customer service, creative work, and administrative projects Works with energy, efficiency, and a sense of urgency, productively Takes initiative and looks for the next useful thing to do Finds answers through research and problem-solving Shows up consistently and on time Follows through on commitments, meets deadlines Communicates clearly and promptly Takes responsibility for assigned work Works independently without repeated reminders Demonstrates good judgment, integrity, and a strong work ethic Available to work in Ventura Experience with Shopify, email marketing, product photography, livestreaming, YouTube editing, or retail sales is a plus. Schedule This is a part-time, in-person position in Ventura.

Applicants must be regularly available:

Friday and Saturday are the current core days, while Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday availability is helpful because the schedule may expand or shift. 12-6pm. We are closed Mondays and Thursdays (for the summer).

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
