Do you love meeting new people, attending community events, discovering local businesses, and telling stories that matter? Murray Media & Marketing is looking for someone who is naturally outgoing, creative, and energized by people. You'll spend your week interviewing business owners, covering community events, creating videos, taking photos, writing stories, and helping showcase everything that makes Denton County a great place to live and do business. If you're the person who always has a camera in your hand, enjoys talking to business owners, notices interesting stories everywhere you go, and loves creating engaging content, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

You'll become one of the public faces of Murray Media by: Attending ribbon cuttings, grand openings, chamber events, nonprofit events, festivals, and community celebrations. Interviewing business owners, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and local residents. Capturing professional photos and video for magazines, websites, social media, podcasts, and digital marketing campaigns. Producing engaging short-form videos, Reels, behind-the-scenes content, and interviews. Writing feature stories, business spotlights, blogs, event recaps, and magazine articles. Working alongside our marketing, publications, and social media teams to create content that supports both Murray Media and our clients. Building genuine relationships throughout Denton County and becoming a trusted community resource. Identifying great stories before anyone else does. What Success Looks Like Our ideal

Content & Community Specialist:

Loves people and can comfortably start conversations with anyone. Is confident representing Murray Media at community events. Has excellent photography and smartphone video skills. Enjoys writing and can turn interviews into compelling stories. Is organized and dependable with deadlines. Notices details while seeing the "big picture." Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do. Is creative, energetic, and positive. Thrives in a fast-paced environment where every day is different. Preferred Experience We're more interested in finding the right personality than checking every box, but experience in any of these areas is a plus: Journalism Marketing Communications Public Relations Photography Videography Social Media Content Creation Community Relations Magazine or Newspaper Writing Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, DSLR cameras, podcast production, or social media platforms is beneficial but not required.
