Stationed at the Giving Tree at University Place Mall in Orem, you will serve as the public face of the Sub for Santa program, assisting mall patrons with angel sponsorships, managing gift intake, and ensuring smooth daily tree operations.

Schedule & Commitment Employment Term:

Friday, November 20, 2026

• Saturday, December 12, 2026.

Mandatory Training:

One paid orientation session prior to November 20 (date TBD).

Weekly Hours:

15-20 hours per week

Shift Times:

Monday

• Saturday:

  Morning Shift (10:00 AM
• 3:30 PM) or Evening Shift (3:30 PM
• 9:00 PM)

Sunday:

Midday Coverage (12:00 PM

• 6:00 PM)

Availability Requirements:

Applicants must be available to work their assigned shifts across weekdays, weekends, and Black Friday (November 27, 2026).

Primary Responsibilities Donor & Shopper Engagement:

Greet mall patrons warmly, explain the Sub for Santa process, and assist shoppers in selecting and registering to sponsor an angel.

Station Setup & Tear-Down:

Prepare the Giving Tree daily by placing child-information stickers onto mall-printed tags and displaying them; safely remove and stow ornaments at the conclusion of each evening shift.

Gift Intake & Secure Transport:

Receive unwrapped donations from sponsors, log records accurately, and transport items securely using the designated cart/wagon.

Recordkeeping & Follow-Up:

Maintain digital and binder tracking logs, record angel tags distributed and returned, and conduct follow-up communications with sponsor families as directed.

Station Upkeep:

Maintain an organized, stocked, and welcoming display table; safeguard station materials and lockboxes. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to pass a mandatory background check. Access to reliable personal transportation to and from University Place Mall. Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable initiating conversations with mall shoppers. Dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under minimal direct supervision. Basic computer and spreadsheet (Excel/Google Sheets) skills for record tracking.
