In this role, you will develop engaging dance curricula, lead energetic classes, and craft innovative choreography that encourages artistic expression and physical development. Your enthusiasm for dance, combined with your ability to manage diverse classroom environments, will foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where students can thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers while honing your creative and instructional skills. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various age groups and skill levels, emphasizing technique, creativity, and performance skills. Lead engaging dance classes that motivate students, promote teamwork, and develop their technical abilities across styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, or hip-hop. Choreograph original routines for performances, competitions, or showcases that highlight students' talents and boost their confidence. Manage classroom behavior effectively by establishing clear expectations, ensuring a safe environment conducive to learning and artistic exploration. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with different learning styles, including those with special needs or early childhood development requirements. Collaborate with other instructors or program coordinators to plan special events, recitals, or community outreach activities that showcase student achievements. Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and participation while providing constructive feedback to support ongoing growth. Skills Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as Salsa, Bachata or other styles; choreography skills are essential. Strong background in curriculum development tailored for children, youth programs, or adult education settings. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and motivating environment. Experience working with children and understanding childhood development principles related to movement and arts education. Knowledge of visual & performing arts education techniques combined with theater experience is highly desirable. Ability to teach music fundamentals or play musical instruments can enhance choreography sessions. Skills in photography or sewing are a plus for documenting performances or creating costumes.
