Full Job Description Part-Time Dance/Tumbling Assistant Pay:
$8-$12 per hour, based on age, experience, training, and responsibilities
Schedule:
Weekday afternoons and evenings Minimum age: 18
Location:
North Augusta, SC Anticipated start: 2026-2027 season beginning August 3 Job Summary Tip Toes and Taps is seeking positive, dependable classroom assistants to support our dance and tumbling programs for students ages 2 and older. This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible dancer, tumbler, performer, or aspiring teacher who enjoys working with young children and wants to develop classroom and leadership experience. Assistants receive on-the-job training while working alongside experienced teachers and coaches. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with dance and/or tumbling classes Help students remain engaged, on task, organized, and ready to participate Demonstrate basic movements and reinforce teacher instructions Provide encouragement and age-appropriate support to students Assist with attendance, classroom transitions, props, music, and equipment Help prepare and reset classrooms before and after lessons Complete assigned opening, closing, and light cleaning duties Communicate respectfully with students, families, and staff Attend required training, meetings, and studio events Follow the direction of lead teachers and all studio policies Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Relevant background in dance, tumbling, cheer, theatre, or a related activity Enjoys working with young children Positive, patient, responsible, and dependable Able to take direction and work as part of a team Weekday afternoon and/or evening availability Willingness to learn and complete required training Willingness to complete a required background check Hours vary based on employee availability, class enrollment, and studio needs.
