Position Title:

Director of Worship Reports to:

Lead Pastor Directly Supervises:

Volunteers Work hours: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt (40-hours/week) Works Sunday, plus four additional days during the work week Position Overview The Director of Worship is responsible for overseeing all aspects of worship within the church. This includes scheduling musicians, choosing music for worship, leading rehearsals, arranging music and tracks, and managing worship hosts and tech teams. The Director will also be responsible for creating visual slides, overseeing the worship budget, and assisting the Lead Pastor with various administrative tasks. Additionally, the Director will lead creative teams, and work with the Pastor to develop sermon series and ideas.

Essential Functions Worship Leadership:

• Schedule all musicians through designated App
• Select music for worship service
• Lead all rehearsals
• Mid Week and Sound Check
• Oversee worship annual budget
• Arrange all music and tracks for rehearsals and Sundays
• Audition all musicians
• Develop worship leaders and instrumentalists
• Organize 2 to 3 Modern Worship Nights per year
• Maintain and upkeep church instruments and related equipment

Worship Hosts and Tech Teams:

• Schedule all Worship Hosts
• Communicate with Worship Hosts on a weekly basis regarding announcements and the order of service
• Recruit and schedule Tech Teams for both Modern and Traditional Sunday services
• Oversee all Tech Equipment
• Work with outside vendors to maintain and upgrade tech equipment
• Provide or schedule tech support for funerals and weddings (additional compensation) Other Duties This ministry description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of all activities, duties or responsibilities that may be required for this job. • Experience in worship leadership, music, theology and discipleship
• Ability to manage audio, lighting, and media elements, including knowledge of ProPresenter and track programs (i.e., Loop Prime, MultiTracks, or Ableton)
• Lead worship from an instrument (guitar or piano)
• Creative and innovative mindset
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Computer skills including but not limited to

Microsoft Office:

Word, Excel

• Leadership skills, professionalism and strong work ethic
• Ability to recruit volunteers, musicians, and tech teams
• Regular and reliable attendance Core Competencies

Work Environment and Physical Demands This position operates in an office environment using equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, musical instruments and tech equipment. It requires sitting at a desk for several hours occasionally walking or standing at other work areas. The position requires the following vision and hearing capabilities:
