UPC Main Building Salary Range:
FT $70,000-$80,000 Build Christian community among the contemporary worship team members and provide spiritual leadership for them. Partner with leaders in UPC's middle school, high school, college, and young adult ministries to nurture young musicians and provide pathways for them to become involved in worship teams for the Sunday worship services. Continually provide pathways for new believers and new regular attenders to become involved in our contemporary worship teams. Partner with leaders and members of our Kindred churches to facilitate UPC's involvement. Collaborate with Media Services and other personnel to assure excellent production values in our services (sound, lighting, video, set design, creative arts, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
• A strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Understanding of and commitment to the role of worship in UPC's mission and vision. Theological alignment with our "Essential Tenets" of faith. Facility in a wide variety of contemporary music styles. Experience and demonstrated success in directing and leading dynamic contemporary worship. Excellent skills in leading worship singing and empowering congregational participation in singing. Proven leadership skills and an ability to think strategically, to and guide tactical execution of ideas. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact positively with artists, colleagues, and congregants. Diligence and creativity, with a true sense of vision to live into UPC's mission and values. Warm, enthusiastic, and relational personality, with the capacity to work well with teams. Highly effective interpersonal skills. Pastoral concern and an ability to mentor and nurture in Christian discipleship. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Music is preferred but not required. and collaboratively with a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job frequently requires reaching with hands and arms and occasionally requires one to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. This job frequently requires lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. The abilities to hear and speak are intrinsic to the successful fulfillment of this position.
SPECIAL/OTHER
The Contemporary Worship Lead will need to be on site during evening rehearsals and on Sundays.
