Full Job Description General Job Brief:
Tasks may include choral music librarian, athletic band equipment manager and librarian, atrium concert coordinator, social media, musical theatre assistant, recruitment assistant, Music and Worship Day Coordinator, and assistance with operations, ensembles, and events. This role also requires a comprehensive understanding of and commitment to the unique Christian mission and vision of ACU to Transform Culture with Truth, and the ability to advance that mission and vision through the performance of its duties, including person-to-person mentorship and discipleship.
Key Responsibilities :
Music Department Assistants provide logistical, administrative, or technical support to ensure excellent functioning of the music department for its ensembles, recruitment, and events. Working closely with faculty, these students will handle the details required for successful music programs.

Completing other duties and tasks with utmost integrity and professionalism, as directed, and not necessarily mentioned in this description, may be asked on a volunteer basis. Commitment to the University's faith statement, mission, and purposes; and an active Christian faith. Comfort and familiarity with the practice of praying with and for others, including students, faculty, and fellow University staff. The ability to meaningfully support and encourage students, faculty, and staff from a biblical worldview perspective, using relevant and applicable references from the Old and New Testaments and orthodox Christian writings. Demonstrated alignment with and enthusiastic support for the Christian Mission and Core Commitments of the University, including signing the University's Statement of Faith and Core Commitments annually.
Education and Experience:
These assistants must meet or exceed music scholarship requirements in enrollment status, course enrollments, grades, and work ethic. Must complete
FAFSA Ability and Skills:
Some assistant roles require lifting heavy objects and setup that involves manual labor. Other roles maintain and organize music libraries, coordinating music distribution, passing out, and organizing music files. Other roles assist ensemble directors with setup and tear-down for rehearsals and events. Still other roles coordinate logistics for events, or assisting with technical details.
Time Required:
Music assistant roles are flexible, requiring scheduled weekly hours. This role assists with technical requirements, including coordinating setups, staging, and performance needs specific to each ensemble or event.

This position is considered to be part-time, non-exempt from overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and any applicable state laws.
