Job Description

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO
Has meaningful experience working with and guiding young children, ideally ages 3-5 . Has experience with or a strong understanding of Waldorf early childhood education. Formal Waldorf training is wonderful, but deep alignment and relevant experience matter too. Genuinely loves being outdoors and feels comfortable guiding children outside throughout Montana's seasons. Understands the importance of rhythm, storytelling, songs, imagination, meaningful work, natural materials and experiential learning in early childhood. Is warm, calm, grounded, playful, dependable and confident holding a small group of children. Values holistic and ancestral living, nourishing food, mindfulness, nature connection and conscious childhood. Is comfortable incorporating age-appropriate practices such as children's yoga, breath, gratitude, mindful movement, music, singing bowls and sound. Is comfortable around gardens, chickens, wildlife, mud, snow and the realities of spending most of the day outdoors in Montana. Feels comfortable partnering with and guiding parents , communicating the philosophy behind the children's experience and helping families create continuity between Little Lotus and home. Is excited about joining something at the very beginning and collaborating with our founding families to help thoughtfully shape the program. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely loves this age and wants to protect the imagination, innocence, wonder and joy of early childhood.
