Full Job Description Parkland Theater House Manager Hourly Rate:

$17.62 This position is an on-campus, part-time, up-to 19-hours per week appointment based in Champaign, Illinois. Applications accepted until the position is filled. The Parkland Theatre House Manager oversees guest relations for all Parkland productions and ensures the smooth operation of front of house aspects of the organization.

Resume or CV Essential Job Functions:

Recruit, schedule and oversee front of house staff, ushers and volunteers. Assist in box office as needed. Organize sale of concessions. Oversee front of house clean-up following all performances. Establish and maintain good public relations with all patrons. Responsible for implementing emergency procedures as needed. Implement College and Theatre policies and procedures as established. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day running and front of house aspects of a theatre company. Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills. Experience in volunteer management. Ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous projects while working independently. Willingness and ability to work flexible and varied hours. Ability to work well under pressure and work independently. Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new computer programs as technology changes.
