Remote/Hybrid (U.S.) | Reports to: Regional Sales Director About Aquasight Aquasight builds AI-powered software for water and wastewater utilities. Our suite, AQSYNC, APOLLO, ATLAS, AURA, ACE and AMP, helps municipalities, utilities and industrial water users see what is happening across their systems, anticipate problems earlier and make confident decisions about operations, compliance and long-term investment. Utilities carry an essential public responsibility with limited time and resources. Our job is to make that work easier, and we earn our place by being a partner they can trust. The Role We're looking for an Account Executive to grow Aquasight's partnerships with utilities in their region. You'll own relationships from the first conversation through contract and beyond understanding each utility's priorities, showing how Aquasight can help, and making the purchasing process as simple as possible for their team. Typical initial engagements range from $50K to $75K per year. What You'll Do Build relationships: Connect with utilities that could benefit from Aquasight through outreach, industry events and partner introductions. Learn about their capital plans, operational challenges and regulatory goals.
Listen first:
Lead thoughtful discovery conversations to understand what matters most to each utility before recommending a solution.
Work with the whole team:
Engage everyone who has a stake in the decision leadership, operations, engineering, IT and cybersecurity, finance and, where appropriate, boards and councils, so the solution works for all of them.
Show measurable value:
Help utilities quantify outcomes in their own terms, reduced water loss, lower operating cost, better asset decisions, stronger compliance, and support their staff in sharing that case with leadership.
Simplify purchasing:
Guide utilities through their procurement options and obtain POs.
Support long-term success:
Respond to security and contract reviews, ensure a smooth transition to our Customer Success team, and stay engaged as each utility's needs grow.
Stay organized:
Keep HubSpot current, forecast accurately, and use AI tools for research, follow-ups and proposal drafts so more of your time goes to customers. What You Bring 5+ years in B2G sales, including 1-2+ years managing the full sales process on engagements of $50K to $75K deal size + with 6-18 month timelines. Experience working with the public sector, especially water and wastewater utilities.
Familiarity with public procurement:
RFPs, cooperative contracts, budget cycles and board or council approvals. The ability to explain data, analytics and AI in practical, operational terms for every audience. Genuine respect for the people who keep water systems running, and a consultative, customer-first approach.
Bonus:
Experience with SCADA, IoT, GIS, asset management or CMMS solutions; existing relationships with utilities or engineering firms.
