Owner / Management Position Summary Fox Equipment is seeking a friendly, dependable, motivated, and organized Rental & Equipment Sales Professional to join our team in Clare, Michigan. This is a diversified, fast-paced position where no two days are exactly the same. One minute you may be helping a contractor determine which piece of equipment they need for a job, the next you may be putting together a rental reservation, following up on an equipment sale, coordinating a delivery, or helping a customer with a parts or service question. If you're great at multitasking, enjoy working with people, and like variety in your workday, this may be the job for you. The primary focus of this position will be equipment rentals and customer service , with equipment sales as another important part of the role. This person will also provide backup and support to our Parts & Service Department as needed. Opportunity for Advancement We are looking for more than someone to simply cover the front counter. For the right person, this position has the potential to develop into a management or leadership role within the company. Someone who demonstrates strong customer service, leadership, decision-making, organization, and an understanding of our overall operation could eventually take on additional responsibility helping oversee day-to-day operations and team members. Primary Responsibilities Equipment Rentals Answer incoming rental calls and assist walk-in customers. Determine what equipment best fits the customer's project or application. Provide rental rates, availability, specifications, and basic operating information. Create rental reservations and rental contracts. Coordinate rental equipment availability with the yard and shop. Help schedule and coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups. Communicate with customers regarding delivery times, rental extensions, returns, and equipment availability. Follow up on rental inquiries and quotes. Help ensure rental equipment is properly documented when leaving and returning. Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the rental process. Equipment Sales Assist customers looking to purchase new and used equipment. Answer equipment sales inquiries by phone, email, online leads, and at the front counter. Learn the features, specifications, and applications of the equipment Fox Equipment sells. Prepare equipment quotes and provide pricing to customers. Follow up with prospective buyers and maintain communication throughout the sales process. Assist with financing, trade-in information, and sales paperwork when applicable. Help maintain accurate equipment listings and sales information. Build long-term relationships with customers rather than focusing only on individual transactions. Identify opportunities to turn rental customers into equipment buyers when appropriate. Parts & Service Support This position will also provide support to the Parts & Service Department when needed, including: Greet and assist service and parts customers at the front counter. Answer basic questions regarding service work and parts availability. Help gather customer and equipment information for repair work orders. Assist with looking up and ordering parts when trained to do so. Receive incoming parts and help ensure they are assigned to the correct repair job or customer. Communicate customer questions and concerns to the Parts & Service Manager or shop team. Provide backup phone and counter coverage during busy periods. Customer Service & General Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally. Greet customers entering the showroom. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front-counter and showroom area. Respond to customer emails and online inquiries. Work closely with the shop, yard, delivery drivers, and management. Help resolve customer concerns in a professional and reasonable manner. Learn Fox Equipment's rental fleet, sales inventory, services, policies, and procedures. Be willing to jump in and help wherever needed. Shift priorities throughout the day as customer and operational needs change. Assist with other reasonable duties as needed in a growing small business. What We're Looking For The right person does not necessarily need extensive equipment experience , but must be willing and able to learn.

Willingness to take ownership of customer requests and see them through to completion. Flexibility and a willingness to handle a variety of responsibilities. Leadership potential and an interest in growing into greater responsibility within the company. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following would be helpful but is not necessarily required: Equipment rental Heavy equipment or construction equipment Automotive, truck, agricultural, or equipment dealerships Inside sales Parts sales Service writing Construction or skilled trades Customer service or counter sales Team leadership or management

Pay:

$50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
