Role:
This position owns the direct customer relationship for an assigned portfolio of national accounts in the Farm & Ag channel, serving as the primary point of contact and holding accountability for revenue and gross margin annual targets. The Associate National Account Manager leads the full customer cycle
annual line reviews, joint business planning, pricing and promotional negotiation, new item presentations, and day-to-day issue resolution.
This position works closely with Customer Service, Demand Planning, Finance, and Marketing to ensure accuracy of Customer agreements, pricing, contracts, and forecasting. Ongoing customer management and market landscape analysis are core to the role, translating customer and competitive insight into forward-looking plans that grow the business.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Own and build account revenue and gross margin in line with designated annual targets Identify new business and whitespace opportunities to grow Woodstream's in-market POS and revenue Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned national accounts, owning the relationship end to end and keeping the VP of Sales informed of account performance and risks Develop, present, annual joint business plans, line reviews, promotional calendars, and new item launches directly with the customer Manage the trade spend and promotional budget for assigned accounts, including deduction, chargeback, and claim resolution with the customer Ensure execution of merchandising, planogram, and display programs for assigned accounts, including seasonal displays, endcaps, and point-of-purchase materials, in partnership with Marketing Monitor and report competitor pricing, promotions, new items, and shelf-space changes within assigned accounts Support the negotiation of annual customer terms, pricing, cost changes, and program agreements, and ensure signed documentation is accurate and on file All other related projects & activities as and when assigned by superiors To perform other ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time Build and maintain relationships at all levels of the customer organization Attend customer meetings, events, trade shows as needed Work collaboratively across functions to solve customer and business challenges Manage forecasting, annual budget planning
identify additional opportunities to drive incremental sales revenue or cost reduction measures
Other Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned Assists with other projects as needed and assigned by manager Traveling requirements up to 25-49% to customer headquarters, trade shows, and field markets
Successful Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field required 3-7 years of sales, sales support, category management, or customer service experience, preferably in consumer products categories sold through farm, ag, hardware, or mass retail channels; national account exposure preferred but not required Proficient with the MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint for customer-ready presentations Possess excellent written & verbal communication skills Strong organizational and process management skills, with high attention to detail on pricing, item setup, and customer documentation Strategic mindset. Strong will to get things done.
