Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Manager/CPA to join our financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, payroll, account payable, credit card processing, and delivering accurate financial reporting. Your expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and regulatory requirements will drive the success of our clients' financial strategies. Responsibilities Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial data entry and reconciliation using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Seazona, and other financial tools. Prepare, review, and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory compliance standards. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and account analyses to ensure data integrity. Perform detailed financial analysis including cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory requirements related to governmental accounting, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), securities law, and nonprofit accounting. Assist with audit preparations by organizing documentation, supporting schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries. Mentor junior team members on technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, VLOOKUP functions in Excel, and financial report writing. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required; prior experience in public accounting or corporate finance highly preferred. Strong proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office suite (Excel including data analysis functions like VLOOKUP), and financial software tools. Extensive knowledge of GAAP standards, regulatory compliance accounting, and technical accounting principles such as debits & credits and general ledger reconciliation. Demonstrated experience with non-profit accounting practices, governmental accounting standards, tax experience related to wills, trusts & estate law is a plus. Ability to analyze complex financial data using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis techniques; experience with accrual accounting and budget forecasting essential. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining accuracy. Strong communication skills for preparing clear financial reports and providing mentoring on technical concepts such as journal entries or financial statement interpretation.
