Hours:

Pay:
$18-$22 per hour Job Summary Jungle Driving School is looking for an outgoing, dependable, and self-motivated Marketing & Community Coordinator to help grow our local presence throughout Clive, West Des Moines, Waukee, and the surrounding area. This is a hands-on, community-facing role for someone who enjoys meeting people, creating social media content, finding local marketing opportunities, and helping a growing local business become more visible, connect with families, and generate new customer interest. Some days may involve creating content, following up with prospective families, managing internal calendars and activity trackers, or coordinating with our marketing partners. Other days may involve attending a high school game, community event, festival, or local activity, setting up promotional materials, talking with parents and students, or finding new places and ways for Jungle to show up in the community. This is not a desk-only marketing job, and it is not a driving instructor position. No teaching or driving-instructor certification is required. Responsibilities Identify and recommend local marketing, community, and partnership opportunities that can help Jungle reach prospective students and families. Represent Jungle at school activities, sporting events, festivals, fairs, and other community events. Build relationships with schools, businesses, youth organizations, and community groups. Help generate and follow up on prospective customer leads. Create and publish local social media content, including photos and short-form video. Coordinate with ownership and third-party marketing partners on local campaigns, promotions, and content. Maintain internal calendars, activity trackers, and simple databases used to organize and report on marketing activity. Help prepare, transport, set up, and tear down event and promotional materials. Help keep the Clive location, Jungle vehicles, and marketing materials organized, presentable, and ready for use. Qualifications Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations with new people. Enjoys working with teenagers, parents, and families. Self-motivated and able to plan, prioritize, and work independently. Comfortable recommending ideas and taking initiative. Comfortable being out in the community rather than working behind a desk all day. Comfortable creating social media content and appearing in occasional photos or videos. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organized, dependable, and able to follow through on commitments. Comfortable making follow-up calls and communicating with prospective customers. Comfortable using calendars, spreadsheets, databases, and other basic business tools. Willing to do hands-on work associated with events and local promotions. Has a reliable smartphone capable of taking high-quality photos and video and is comfortable using it for approved social media and marketing activities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for events, meetings, and community outreach. A Jungle vehicle may be available for approved work activities when available. Availability for some evening and Saturday community activities. Must successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment. Experience in marketing, sales, events, hospitality, retail, community outreach, youth activities, customer service, or social media is helpful, but not required. A college degree is not required. Schedule This is a part-time position expected to average approximately 15-25 hours per week. Hours may vary based on business needs, community activity, events, and the employee's ability to develop worthwhile local marketing and outreach opportunities. The role will include a mix of weekday work, community meetings, social media and marketing activity, and some evening or Saturday events. Hours may fluctuate from week to week as opportunities develop, with additional hours driven by productive community relationships, events, and lead-generation activity. Compensation $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience and fit. As Jungle Driving School grows, this position may have the opportunity to expand in hours and responsibility. About Jungle Driving School Jungle Driving School provides driver education and behind-the-wheel instruction for students throughout the western Des Moines metro.
