Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall success of the Sales and Marketing team to maximize total revenue and ensure sales goals are met and exceeded Established client base and cultivated relationships, building business, and providing a stable and positive work environment for the team Spend a significant amount of time out of the hotel surveying market and comp set/neighboring hotels, researching new clients/opportunities, and knowing the market and its environment Observe local trends in the market Conduct sales calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads. Sales Managers Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of Sales experience IHG Sales experience Must currently be working for an IHG brand Technology experience - Delphi, Opera, Meeting Broker, Agency360/Demand360, or similar hotel systems is a plus Experience in Budget Preparation, Forecasting, Revenue Generation, Analytics, Coaching, and management of Sales Teams Any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered or other sales experience Past hotel Director of Sales experience is a plus! 4-year College Degree or Equivalent experience preferred Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections Detail-oriented.
