Merrow Superior LLC, part of the Merrow Group, is seeking an Industrial Sewing Channel Sales Manager - Domestic to grow our business across the U.S. industrial sewing market. This is a business-development, channel-growth and strategic sales role , not a traditional account-management position. You will be responsible for developing Superior's industrial sewing business by identifying high-potential customers and markets, winning new accounts, expanding strategic relationships, recovering lost business, and helping us build a stronger and more competitive product and service offering. The successful candidate will understand the industrial sewing market and be comfortable working with dealers, distributors, factories, OEMs, service organizations, resellers and other industrial customers. We are looking for someone who is comfortable building business, creating opportunities and winning market share — not simply managing an established book of accounts. What You'll Do Develop and execute a growth strategy for Superior's U.S. industrial sewing channel. Identify, prioritize and pursue high-potential customers and prospects. Build and maintain an active, qualified sales pipeline. Win new customers and develop under-served or previously inactive accounts. Expand existing customer relationships through parts, consumables, equipment, owned brands and adjacent product categories. Develop strong relationships with strategic dealers, factories, OEM/service organizations, resellers and industrial sewing customers. Identify opportunities to recover business that has moved to competitors. Conduct meaningful customer discovery around products, applications, pricing, availability, service requirements and competitive alternatives. Understand how industrial sewing customers buy, what applications they support and where Superior can create additional value. Identify competitive products, pricing gaps, assortment gaps and opportunities where Superior can improve its market position. Work closely with Purchasing, Product, Supplier and Customer Experience teams to improve stocking, pricing, supplier solutions and product offerings based on what you learn in the market. Bring actionable customer and competitive intelligence back into the business so it leads to decisions and action. Maintain accurate CRM opportunities, next steps and pipeline information. Track results and continuously improve the sales approach based on what is working. What Success Looks Like Success in this role will be measured by: Profitable industrial sewing channel revenue growth New customer acquisition Growth and recovery within existing strategic accounts Development of a strong qualified opportunity pipeline Increased penetration across parts, consumables, equipment and related categories Sales conversion and speed from opportunity to first order Gross profit performance Recovery of competitive or previously lost business Actionable customer, product and competitive intelligence that leads to business decisions What We're Looking For Experience in business development, outside sales, channel sales or strategic account development Industrial sewing industry experience is strongly preferred Knowledge of industrial sewing machines, parts, consumables, applications, dealers, OEMs or related markets is highly valuable Existing relationships or credibility within the U.S. industrial sewing industry are a significant advantage Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop opportunities and win new business Experience growing existing customers beyond their historical purchasing patterns Strong commercial judgment around pricing, margins, customer economics, opportunity qualification and negotiation Ability to understand and communicate technical product and application information credibly Comfortable identifying competitive weaknesses and developing strategies to win business Strong follow-through and organizational discipline Comfortable using CRM and maintaining an accurate, actionable sales pipeline Ability to work independently while coordinating closely with sales, customer experience, purchasing, supplier and product teams Experience with industrial sewing equipment, sewing-machine parts, cutting equipment, consumables, factory supplies, textile/apparel manufacturing, upholstery, automotive sewing, technical textiles or related industrial markets is especially valuable. First 90 Days During your first 90 days, you will work with leadership to: Build a clear understanding of Superior's current U.S. industrial sewing business Segment and prioritize existing customers, strategic accounts and prospects Develop a focused list of the highest-value growth and recovery opportunities Conduct structured customer and market discovery Establish an initial qualified sales pipeline Develop growth or recovery plans for priority strategic accounts Identify major competitive, product, pricing and availability gaps affecting our ability to win business Begin moving priority opportunities toward new orders, expanded relationships and recurring revenue The expectation is that the first 90 days produce visible commercial movement , not simply research and account review.
Compensation Base salary:
Base salary commensurate with experience. The position also includes meaningful performance-based incentive compensation tied to profitable channel growth, new business development and overall sales results. Location & Travel Fall River, MA. This is primarily an office-based position, with flexibility considered based on experience, market coverage and the requirements of the role Travel is expected as needed to visit customers, develop strategic accounts, attend industry events and build the channel. Schedule, compensation, and benefits Full-time, Monday-Friday, on-site at Fall River, MA office preferred - open to alternative options for the right candidate. Pay:
