Platform Sales Director

Job Description

Ourisman Automotive Group is looking for a highly qualified Platform Sales Director. The Platform Sales Director is responsible for the profitability of the new and pre-owned vehicle departments, and contributes to customer retention. This role requires effective personnel management skills, knowledge of market conditions, and a keen understanding of established performance standards. The Platform Sales Director works closely with the General Manager and Sales Management team. Essential duties include (but are not limited to): Hire, train and monitor the performance of new and used vehicle department managers Meet with new and used car sales managers to establish monthly objectives for unit sales, gross profits, expenses and operating profit Ensure sales managers understand dealership policies and procedures Work with dealer and general manager to determine appropriate days' supply for new and used vehicles and orders/acquires vehicle inventory accordingly Establish standards for displaying, merchandising and maintaining new and used vehicles Meet with the general manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each salesperson individually Provide feedback to sales department personnel during career development discussions Establish systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including regular sales meetings Remain up-to-date on federal, state, and local regulations
Requirements:
Dealership Management experience is required Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team and delegate responsibilities Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
