The business is experiencing continued growth and is seeking a commercially minded Business Development Manager to identify new market opportunities, build strategic relationships, and contribute to the next phase of expansion. Job Description Develop and execute go-to-market strategies focused on targeted industries, customers, and growth opportunities. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities that align with organisational growth objectives. Build and maintain key customer relationships, strategic partnerships, and industry networks. Represent the business at customer meetings, trade exhibitions, conferences, and industry events. Manage the front end of the sales pipeline by generating and qualifying opportunities. Develop and oversee strategies for an independent sales representative network, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, operations, and leadership teams to support customer engagement and proposal development. Support major customer presentations and contribute to successful commercial outcomes. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform growth strategies. Act as a brand ambassador and maintain a strong presence within key industry sectors. The Successful Applicant 8-10+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, account management, or market development within industrial manufacturing, engineered products, petrochemical, power generation, or related technical sectors. A proven track record of identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities into measurable revenue growth. Experience creating and executing business growth plans, market expansion initiatives, and strategic partnership programmes. Strong relationship-building abilities with customers, channel partners, independent representatives, and industry stakeholders. Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with sales, operations, engineering, and executive leadership teams. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organisational skills. A self-motivated and strategic mindset, with the ability to work independently while influencing key stakeholders. Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
