JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for obtaining profitable results through the sales team by developing the team through recruiting, motivating, counseling, skills development, and product knowledge development. This role will generate revenue growth by utilizing a consultative selling approach in prospective and current Ohio CAT customers, in addition to setting sales plans, budgets, objectives, strategies, and initiatives to fulfill the growth and revenue goals of the business unit and ensure the maximum sales volume and direct margin contribution. It is the responsibility of the sales manager to develop strong customer relationships directly with key strategic accounts and direct the sales team in maintaining and expanding customer relationships as well.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor's degree in sales or marketing is a plus. Must have five years of experience in construction, industrial, commercial, or service industry environment sales. Previous experience with heavy construction product sales or rentals is required.
KEY COMPETENCIES
A proven ability to develop, maintain, and grow key customer relationships at various levels is required. Must have demonstrated leadership talent, and the ability to motivate all levels of employees by keen business acumen, excellent judgment, professional competence, high credibility, flexibility, and personal integrity. Must have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Must be skilled with Microsoft suite applications, business software, and other industry-specific programs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
