Job Description

If you answered yes, the Powell Clarks Fork Conservation District (PCFCD) may have the job for you. PCFCD is seeking a motivated individual to fulfill PCFCD's mission of improving the quality of life for communities in the district. PCFCD promotes clean water and air, healthy rangelands and agricultural production,and quality habitat for wildlife. PCFCD achieves this mission by providing information, education, and technical services to the public. This position will be responsible for managing the office and implementing programs to support the PCFCD's mission.

Summary:
The District Manager will coordinate with partnering agencies and other stakeholders to implement natural resource-based programs. The District Manager is expected to be self-directed, possess the ability to communicate with the public, and work closely with the District Board of Supervisors to promote and protect the natural resources of the District. This position requires strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. This position is a non-exempt, at will, position. Unless otherwise approved by the PCFCD Board, this position will be part-time status of 20+ hours per week. Salary shall be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, education, and training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts day-to-day office activities, greets customers, answers questions from district citizens, answers phone calls and emails, updates the PCFCD website, and develops handouts for events. Implements PCFCD programs and coordinates with various governmental, state, and local entities. Coordinates tree sales, rural well water testing events, and education outreach events. Prepares subdivision soil reports for the PCFCD Board of Directors to review. Writes grant proposals, pursues community funding, and diligently directs and tracks the use of funds. Conducts monthly board meetings, prepares agendas and handouts, presents current financial vouchers and income/expense statements for approval, writes minutes, and publicly posts PCFCD Board approved minutes. Provides regular updates to the Park County Commissioners. Prepares financial summaries and budgets as needed for planning, recordkeeping and reporting. Prepares documents and assists with annual audit or financial review. Manages paper files and computer files per the retention schedule. Files federal and state forms, such as 941s, W9s, WY sales tax, etc. Completes annual reports, plans of work, and other state funding criteria. Attends annual conservation meetings, the state convention, and other meetings and/or trainings at the request of the PCFCD Board. Coordinates meetings hosted by the PCFCD. Other duties as assigned.
