Duties Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service during their visit Take customer orders accurately using POS system Toast. Process cash, credit, and digital transactions efficiently while ensuring proper cash handling and register operation Assist in food preparation tasks, including assembling orders and operating kitchen equipment safely Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and customer satisfaction Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including food handling areas, counters, and equipment to meet sanitation standards Manage food service customer order flow, ensuring timely delivery and quality control Operate POS systems confidently for retail sales transactions and food orders Support food safety management practices by following sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments preferred Demonstrated ability in food preparation, serving, and cashiering roles within the food industry or café settings Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Proven customer service skills with an emphasis on positive interactions and upselling techniques Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing register operations Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively is a plus The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: This candidate must have acceptable verbal English communication skills, including interpersonal conversational skills. The Associate is consistently asked to make correct change, which demands that he/she have basic math skills. Honesty and Integrity, including the ability to follow Company cash-handling procedures and the ability to honestly and accurately complete other Company documents. The ability to adapt and follow instructions requires adequate comprehension skills. Essential to this job is the ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in the stores. This individual must be able to move from one work area to another at a moment's notice and in and around crowded work areas. Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads require a 50-pound lifting requirement. This Associate is responsible for operating store equipment such as blenders, juicer, nut butter blender, knives, slicers, dicers etc. Effective operation of such equipment requires the use of all limbs and the ability to see at a distance. The ability to report to work at the prescribed time for each scheduled shift and to fulfill the job requirements for the duration of the shift or until relieved of all duties by a direct supervisor.
