Full-Time / Part-Time Overview We are looking for friendly, energetic, and customer-focused FOH / Cashiers to join the team at Bab's Newark ! As a member of our Front of House team, you will be one of the first points of contact for our guests and play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive dining experience. The ideal candidate is reliable, personable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You should enjoy interacting with guests, taking orders, operating a POS system, handling payments, and working closely with the rest of the team to ensure smooth and efficient service. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working with people, we would love to hear from you! Duties Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the POS system. Operate the cashier/POS system efficiently and accurately. Process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. Answer guest questions about menu items, ingredients, specials, and promotions. Recommend menu items and assist with upselling when appropriate. Ensure orders are entered correctly and communicated accurately to the kitchen. Assist guests with order pick-up and ensure orders are complete and accurate. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Front of House area. Restock FOH supplies, condiments, utensils, and other necessary items. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area when needed. Respond to guest concerns professionally and seek assistance from management when necessary. Follow all company policies, food safety guidelines, and sanitation standards. Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH team members to maintain smooth operations during busy periods. Perform other restaurant duties as assigned by management. Requirements & Experience Previous restaurant, cashier, customer service, or hospitality experience is preferred. Previous experience using a POS system such as Toast is a plus. Strong customer service and communication skills. Comfortable handling cash and processing customer payments accurately. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to remain calm, professional, and friendly in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities during busy shifts. Must be available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Must be friendly, approachable, and comfortable interacting with guests. Food handler certification is a plus, where applicable. Pay:
