Job Summary An Experience Guide at Carroll Children's Museum greets visitors as they enter Carroll Children's Museum, conducts transactions on a Point of Sale (POS) system which involves cash, credit card, and check transactions, ensuring the museum remains clean and orderly, and other responsibilities. The list below includes but is not limited to the job responsibilities of a Carroll Children's Museum Experience Guide. Job Responsibilities Welcome visitors to Carroll Children's Museum with a positive and friendly disposition Experience Guides must wear their name tag and dress appropriately; wear provided CCM t-shirt whenever possible Process transactions appropriately using the POS. This includes processing credit card transactions, administer proper change back when necessary, and accepting check payments Follow open/close procedures

Cleaning:

Regularly clean/disinfect toys and surfaces Ensure all cups are thrown away, the table is wiped down, etc at the end of your shift Sweep and vacuum as needed, especially around the sand table and toddler corner Wipe up any spills or sticky spots on the floor Remove trash when wastebaskets are full. All full trash bags need taken to the end of the hallway. All trash be taken out Thursday night as trash pick-up is Friday. Refill snacks, coffee, socks, craft supplies/kits, etc. Communicate with Executive Directors (usually Marcie) about supply needs.

Craft supplies, snacks, socks, etc. Answer the phone professionally and courteously If you do not know the answer to a visitor's or caller's question, write down the customer's information and question and get it to the Executive Directors or give them a business card for Marcie or Amy Experience Guides at Carroll Children's Museum usually work their shifts alone in 4-, 6-, or 8-hour increments at $10 per hour

$10.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
