Duties Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately. Handle cash, credit card payments, and manage the cash drawer with integrity and attention to detail. Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries. Conduct product demos and upselling to promote store items, snacks, beverages, or automotive supplies. Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times. Maintain knowledge of store products including grocery items, convenience goods, and automotive supplies to assist customers effectively. Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and participating in merchandising efforts. Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts when needed and ensuring store policies are followed. Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery stores or convenience retail environments. Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Experience operating a cash register or POS system is essential for smooth transaction processing. Demonstrated ability in cashiering duties including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and basic math skills. Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members alike. Supervising experience is a plus, as it demonstrates leadership capabilities in managing daily operations. Familiarity with merchandising techniques and stock management enhances your ability to create an inviting shopping environment.
