Job Description This is not an official description, but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform.

You could expect the position of Service Center Cashier to include the following:

CASHIER DUTIES

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Answer phone
• Cash Checks
• Process Western Union transactions
• Sell Money Orders
• Process merchandise returns and refunds
• Pick up cash from lane sweeps
• Know all aspects of checking and help with any issues that may happen at the lane

BOOKKEEPER DUTIES

• Settles cash drawers and sets up beginning cash balance
• Generates sales reports for previous business day
• Orders money from cash service; i.e., Brinks to maintain cash balance in safe
• Balance safe and generate reports associated with balancing function
• Load lottery vending machines; balance cash from machines with sales reports Additional responsibilities may include:
• Reprint orders
• Do journal transactions (in case of receipt printing malfunction at registers)

TRAINING

Training will be provided at store level.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Bending Stooping Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours) Additional Requirements -

Internal Candidates:

Store/Facility Teammates:

minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.

Store Support Center Teammates:

minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred. Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline). If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance. Schnucks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Compensation Pay Range:
