Duties Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs in a friendly, professional manner Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for retail sales transactions and cash register operations Handle cash drawer with accuracy, perform cash handling duties, and balance registers at shift end Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the store is clean, tidy, and inviting Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales Maintain knowledge of store products and grocery items to answer customer questions confidently Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and participating in merchandising efforts Provide product knowledge about store offerings, including grocery items and retail products Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts when needed Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively and clearly Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse community needs effectively Experience with POS systems and retail math for accurate transactions and change calculation Proven cashiering skills including cash register operations, cash drawer handling, and retail sales transactions Customer service expertise with a focus on creating welcoming interactions and resolving issues promptly Knowledge of retail store product placement, merchandising techniques, and stock management Previous grocery store or retail sales experience preferred for quick adaptation to store routines Supervising experience is advantageous for supporting team leadership during shifts Ability to demonstrate product demos and upselling techniques confidently Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their retail expertise while providing top-notch service in a fast-paced environment.
