Responsibilities Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and conducting product demos to enhance the shopping experience. Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are properly merchandised and organized according to store standards. Assist customers with retail sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, ensuring quick and friendly service. Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and managing inventory levels. Promote sales through upselling techniques and suggestive selling to maximize revenue opportunities. Follow phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers or suppliers over the phone. Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for customer inquiries. Assist in supervising team members when needed, providing guidance on store operations and customer service standards. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is a plus. Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the store environment. Bilingual skills are highly valued to better serve diverse customer needs. Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging with customers effectively. Basic math skills are necessary for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
