Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Cashier to join our dynamic retail team! Duties Oversee daily cashier operations, ensuring accurate retail sales transactions and cash register functions using POS (Point of Sale) systems Supervise and motivate cashiers, providing guidance on cashier procedures, customer service standards, and upselling techniques Assist customers with product inquiries, conduct product demos when needed, and promote store specials to maximize sales opportunities Handle cash drawer balancing, cash handling procedures, and reconcile register totals at shift end with precision Maintain a well-stocked checkout area by managing relationships with vendors, ordering product, assisting with stocking shelves and merchandising products to enhance store presentation Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls and provide prompt assistance or direct inquiries appropriately Support team in training new staff on retail math, cashiering processes, and store policies to foster a cohesive work environment Maintain and monitor the storefront in order to present the highest standards of quality and sanitation Requirements Proven supervising experience in a retail or grocery store environment with strong leadership skills Extensive knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal channels Demonstrated ability in upselling, customer service excellence, and handling retail math accurately Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations to engage customers effectively Strong phone etiquette skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure Prior experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is highly desirable Join us as a Lead Cashier and become a vital part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
