Responsibilities Operate the cash register (POS system) efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with precision. Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and other payment methods while maintaining accurate cash drawer handling. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos. Upsell products and promote store specials or new merchandise to enhance sales opportunities. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented in accordance with merchandising standards. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. Follow phone etiquette when answering store calls and assist with product information or store inquiries as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Demonstrated ability to perform basic math accurately for retail math calculations. Supervising experience is advantageous but not required; leadership qualities are appreciated. Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management enhances performance.
