Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Afternoon/Evening Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that ensures smooth and efficient transactions during busy hours. In this role, you will handle retail sales transactions, process cash and card payments accurately, and provide excellent customer service to create a welcoming environment. Your energetic approach will help maintain a clean workspace, support food service operations, and contribute to a positive experience for all guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer engagement while working in a fast-paced, lively setting. Responsibilities Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales, refunds, and exchanges with precision. Manage cash register operations, including processing cash transactions and handling various payment methods securely. Assist customers with food orders, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the workspace, including food preparation areas and cashier stations. Support food service activities by assisting with food preparation when needed and ensuring food safety protocols are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Keep accurate records of sales transactions and manage retail math to ensure proper cash handling throughout your shift. Requirements Prior experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Strong cash handling skills along with basic math and retail math knowledge. Experience in food preparation, food handling, or culinary settings is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards consistently. Previous cashiering experience with a focus on customer service in a retail or food industry setting is desirable. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is beneficial.
