This is not simply a receptionist position . The primary responsibility of this role is to help grow our academy by turning leads, inquiries, trial students, and walk-ins into enrolled members while providing an excellent experience to our current students and families. We are looking for someone who enjoys talking to people, is comfortable making phone calls, follows up consistently, understands the importance of achieving sales goals, and is not afraid to ask for the sale. The right person will become an important part of the growth of our academy and our kids, adult, after-school, camp, and martial arts programs. Primary ResponsibilitiesMembership Sales & Lead Follow-Up Contact new leads quickly by phone, text, and email. Respond professionally to inquiries from our website, social media, phone calls, referrals, and walk-ins. Schedule introductory classes, trials, tours, and appointments. Follow up consistently with prospects who have not yet enrolled. Conduct follow-up calls and texts with previous leads. Explain our programs, schedules, membership options, pricing, and academy policies clearly. Understand each prospective student's or family's needs and recommend the appropriate program. Give academy tours and create a welcoming first impression. Present membership options confidently. Ask for the enrollment and help prospects complete the registration process. Follow up with trial students after their visits. Maintain accurate notes and follow-up activities in our CRM/membership management system. Work toward individual and academy enrollment goals. Track leads, appointments, trials, enrollments, and follow-up activity. Front Desk & Customer Experience Welcome students, parents, prospects, and visitors. Answer incoming phone calls professionally. Respond to texts, emails, and customer questions. Assist existing members with basic account and membership questions. Help families understand academy schedules, events, policies, and procedures. Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming front desk. Communicate important information to coaches, management, and other team members. Help resolve basic customer service issues and escalate situations to management when necessary. Member Retention Sales does not stop when someone enrolls. The Membership Sales Representative will also help ensure new members have a strong experience after joining.

Responsibilities may include:

Checking in with new members and families. Following up with students who have missed classes. Helping new students understand schedules and academy procedures. Identifying concerns before they become cancellations. Communicating member concerns to management. Helping maintain strong relationships with our students and families. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate member and prospect information in our management system. Process registrations and membership agreements. Assist with payments and account updates when authorized. Maintain organized lead and follow-up records. Prepare basic daily or weekly sales/activity reports. Keep management informed about leads requiring additional attention. Support academy events, promotions, camps, after-school programs, and special activities as needed. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate is: Friendly and professional Confident speaking with people in person and over the phone Comfortable making outbound sales and follow-up calls Persistent without being pushy Organized and detail-oriented Reliable and punctual Comfortable working with sales goals and measurable expectations Able to follow a structured sales process Coachable and willing to receive feedback Comfortable learning scripts and practicing sales conversations Able to multitask in a busy environment Positive and energetic Comfortable working with children and families Able to communicate professionally with parents Comfortable using computers, texting, email, CRM software, and basic office technology Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following is preferred: Membership sales Fitness or gym sales Martial arts school sales Customer service Front desk operations Inside sales Phone sales Lead follow-up Hospitality Youth programs After-school programs Previous martial arts experience is NOT required. We are more interested in finding someone with the right personality, work ethic, communication skills, and ability to sell and build relationships. Sales Accountability This is a performance-based position. The person hired will be expected to understand and work toward measurable goals involving: Lead response Outbound calls and follow-ups Appointments scheduled Trial attendance Trial-to-membership conversion New memberships Follow-up completion Member retention We provide training, expectations, systems, and support — but we expect the person in this position to take ownership of their results.
