Role Description The Retail Merchandiser is a full-time, on-site role based in Solana Beach, CA. This role involves planning and executing product displays and assortments that reflect ILI's design aesthetic, ensuring the retail space is visually compelling and aligned with brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining product inventory on the floor, updating merchandising layouts, and preparing seasonal or promotional displays. The Retail Merchandiser will interact with clients in the showroom, providing product information, supporting sales conversations, and helping create a welcoming retail experience. This role also requires close collaboration with the design and sales teams to coordinate product placement, gather customer feedback, and support retail sales goals. Qualifications Strong Retail experience, including merchandising, inventory presentation, and showroom or store floor management. Sales and Sales & Marketing skills, with the ability to support product sales, understand promotions, and contribute to retail revenue targets. Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage clients professionally, answer product questions, and ensure a positive in-store experience. Attention to detail and an eye for design and aesthetics, with the ability to follow and implement visual merchandising guidelines. Ability to stand, walk, and conduct light physical tasks such as lifting and arranging products throughout the workday. Comfort working in a collaborative, creative environment and coordinating with design and operations teams. Prior experience in home décor, furniture, or interior design retail is preferred. College degree preferred; additional coursework or training in merchandising, design, or marketing is a plus.
