Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help make this event a fantastic success for everyone involved! $17 Hourly! Selling concessions/merchandise for local kids event in Laredo! Looking for people that can work November 20th through the 22nd! Duties Set up and organize merchandise displays tailored to children's interests, ensuring an attractive and accessible layout Assist guests with selecting and purchasing merchandise, providing friendly and informative customer service Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash and card payments securely Manage inventory levels, restock items as needed, and keep the merchandise area tidy and inviting Monitor the event space for safety hazards, enforce safety protocols, and respond promptly to any incidents or conflicts Engage with children in a positive manner, ensuring they feel welcome and comfortable while shopping Support event staff with manual handling tasks such as lifting boxes or setting up displays, adhering to safety guidelines Skills Experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality environments with a focus on guest engagement Strong knowledge of events management and conflict management techniques to handle busy situations effectively Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and outdoor work conditions Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for processing transactions accurately Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable Experience working with children or in kid-focused environments such as amusement parks, resorts, or theater settings Excellent communication skills for public speaking and guest interactions in a lively event atmosphere This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating joyful experiences for children and families.
