In this energetic role, you will oversee sourcing, purchasing, and inventory control of corrugator parts and accessories, ensuring seamless support to our facility and overall operations. Your expertise in this field will drive efficiency and enhance internal and external customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in organization parts inventory management and purchasing skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Role and Responsibilities Maintenance Parts Clerk/Purchasing will work directly with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Mechanics. He will be responsible for preforming
  • Taking parts requests and service requests from Plant Manager, Supervisors and Mechanics.
  • Contacting multiple vendors for quotes, pricing, availability on parts and services.
  • Generate and update purchase orders for all quotes and services.
  • Submit all quotes over $1,000 to Office Manager or Plant Manager for approval.
  • Provide vendors with purchase order hardcopies and follow through with Order Confirmations.
  • Update all Purchase Orders on purchase order log.
  • Run report to view all open purchase orders and follow up vendors for parts and service status.
  • Create Memo Repairs for items that need to be sent out to vendors for repair.
  • Ship out units for repair with RMA number from vendor if needed.
  • Create Parts Return Form for items no longer needed or requested in error.
  • Receiving - Accept daily packages from couriers.
  • Check in all packages, check in all parts and turn in Packing Slips to accounting.
  • Tag parts with locations, put them away in location and update parts in the system to reflect physical count.
  • Check inventory daily and spot check items and locations that may be missing.
  • Update Excel parts inventory with up-to-date physical counts.
  • Update current pricing for each item with every new up to date vendor quote.
  • Update any part number changes as well as OEM and Manufacturer part numbers for more efficient parts system search.
  • Receive Work Order Pink copies from supervisors for machine issues/repair requests and update them on our Work Order log.
  • Receive Work Order White copes from Raul Galvan and update them on our Work Order log when repairs are completed.
  • Run Work Order Report & print report Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursday on a weekly basis for Plant Manager and Supervisor meetings.
  • Assist various co-workers with part information and locations.
  • At the beginning of each month, assist Customer Service Manager with inventory count.
  • Weekly Monday - Update "Parts Used Sheet" with all parts used by mechanics for repairs the previous week.
  • Send Parts written on the 'Parts Used List' specifically to vendors to replenish used inventory.
  • Generate month end report for Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager which includes all Month Purchase Order totals, all Parts Used totals for that month along with all updated inventory over $1,000.
  • Assist with projects and lead projects when needed to aid in department efficiency. Minimum Requirements
  • Proficient in typing, excel, word, and access.
  • Able to stand for extended periods (Up to 3 hours between breaks)
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Able to work overtime if needed
  • Able to work any shift
  • Be able to read a tape measure (down to 1/16th of an inch)
  • Be able read and understand work instruction in English Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma Preferred Skills
  • Comfortable in the use of new computer programs Additional Notes
  • This is a non-union position
  • 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (Monday through Friday).
  • Overtime may be required during peak seasons
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
