We are seeking an experienced Automotive Parts Sales Representative to join our team at a busy automotive salvage facility. This is an in-person, Monday through Friday (no weekends!), customer-facing position ideal for someone with a strong background in the automotive industry and a solid understanding of vehicles, parts, and automotive terminology. Our company is a proud member of Team PRP, ARA, and URG , working with a network of professional automotive recyclers and salvage yards across the country to provide quality recycled parts to customers. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about automobiles, comfortable working with both customers and industry professionals, and able to identify and source the right parts to meet customer needs. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with their automotive parts needs. Provide professional, knowledgeable service to walk-in customers at our facility. Communicate with customers and other automotive recycling facilities through multiple online platforms. Work closely with other salvage yards and members of our recycling network to source parts for customers . Research vehicle applications and determine appropriate parts based on year, make, model, trim, and other vehicle specifications. Create and manage sales while providing accurate pricing, availability, and product information. Coordinate with other departments and yard personnel to locate, pull, and prepare parts for customers, verify product quality, condition, and applicability before completing sales. Maintain accurate sales and customer information in company systems. Follow up with customers regarding orders, availability, shipping, and other sales-related questions. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and other salvage facilities. Assist with resolving customer concerns and finding solutions when the requested part is unavailable. Stay current on automotive parts, vehicle applications, and industry practices. Maintain a professional, organized, and customer-focused work environment.

Qualifications Required:

Previous experience working in the automotive industry . Strong knowledge of automobiles, automotive parts, and vehicle systems. Experience identifying parts and understanding vehicle applications. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally by phone, in person, email, and online platforms. Strong computer skills and ability to learn and work with multiple software platforms. Ability to multitask and manage multiple customer requests and sales at the same time. Strong attention to detail, particularly when identifying and inspecting automotive parts. Ability to work effectively with other salvage yards and automotive industry professionals. Reliable, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred:

Previous experience in an automotive recycling facility, parts department, collision repair facility, dealership, or automotive parts business . Experience using automotive parts catalogs, interchange systems, or salvage industry software. Familiarity with

PRP, ARA, URG

, or other automotive recycling networks. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who knows cars and enjoys helping people find the right part. The successful candidate will be comfortable speaking with customers, researching parts, working with other yards, and taking ownership of a sale from the initial inquiry through fulfillment. This position requires someone who can think on their feet, troubleshoot when a part isn't readily available, and use our network of automotive recycling partners to find solutions for our customers.
