Job Overview Join our team as a Parts Associate, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive parts department. This energetic position involves assisting customers with their automotive needs, managing inventory, and providing expert advice on parts and accessories. Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally, building rapport through excellent customer service and communication skills Assist customers in identifying, locating, and selecting automotive parts and accessories using inventory management systems and POS (Point of Sale) tools Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing parts, conducting stock counts, and ensuring product availability Process sales transactions accurately, handling cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with attention to detail Provide technical advice on vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, mechanical troubleshooting, and vehicle maintenance to support customer needs Collaborate with the service team to facilitate order fulfillment, parts procurement, and special requests Maintain organized records of inventory using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar software; ensure proper documentation of sales and stock movements Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, upselling relevant products, and addressing client inquiries promptly Requirements Proven experience in automotive parts sales or dealership environments preferred; familiarity with automotive repair processes highly valued Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, automotive diagnostics, and troubleshooting techniques Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory efficiently and perform retail math accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and communication purposes Experience with POS systems, inventory management tools, and CMMS software is a plus Bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases Outstanding communication skills coupled with phone etiquette for client interactions both in person and over the phone Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly demeanor Strong organizational skills to manage stocking, order fulfillment, and maintenance tasks effectively Dealership experience or retail sales background preferred; knowledge of automotive parts and accessories essential Join us as a Parts Associate where your mechanical expertise combined with your passion for customer service will make a real difference!
