Job Description Overview:
The Parts Room Clerk is responsible for maintaining spare parts inventory accuracy, receiving and issuing materials, processing inventory transactions in Oracle, supporting cycle count activities, and ensuring timely availability of maintenance materials. The position supports maintenance operations by maintaining accurate inventory records, proper stock organization, and efficient customer service to maintenance personnel. Here's what you'll do: Receive purchased materials and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips. Process receiving transactions accurately in Oracle. Issue parts to maintenance personnel and charge materials to the appropriate work orders, assets, or cost centers in Oracle. Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and transaction verification. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies. Maintain accurate part locations and inventory records within Oracle. Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or critical spare-part shortages. Prepare and support annual physical inventories. Create parts kits for planned maintenance activities. Deliver parts and materials to maintenance and operating departments as required. Label, package, and organize inventory items. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts room. Provide customer service support to maintenance technicians and internal customers. Monitor and help resolve invoice discrepancies related to parts purchases. Generate daily inventory and activity reports for supervisors. Perform other parts room and inventory control duties as assigned. Qualifications Here's what you'll bring to the table: High school diploma or GED equivalent and 6 months of parts room experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Great customer service and interpersonal skills Knowledgeable in parts and mechanics Knowledgeable of Oracle system Forklift certified a plus Bilingual preferred. Not required Valid Driver's License The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
